New Features over Hyper-Stack Player 2.3 (Versions 1 and 2)
Before Registration
1) HSP Pro contains the functionality of Apple's HyperCard(TM) 2.3.5 Player.
2) You can view the scripts of every object in a stack, view the contents of fields, even if they are hidden, and you can show or hide buttons and fields.
3) The Print Field menu command no longer prints one field per page (unless you specifically want it to; see Instructions). Instead, it prints as many fields as possible on one page before going to the next. This saves printing time and paper. Each field is identified.
4) The Copy Field command now retains the formatting (underline, bold, italics, etc.) when you paste the field contents into another field or into another application.
5) It is now as easy as “copy and paste” to add graphics for use as black & white button icons in HSP. You now longer have to create a separate PICT file.
6) Navigating from card-to-card in HSP has been made easier by the addition of a "pop-up" button which displays a list containing the name and number of each card. Just select the card you want from the list to go directly to it.
6) Since the contents of fields can now be viewed, the password that you select to keep others from entering New Button Mode is now encrypted.
7) A special stack, the Double-Click Converter, is included with HSP. This stack enables you to easily make all your stacks start HSP when you double-click them.
After Registration
1) You can edit the script of every object in another stack. You can also edit the contents of fields, even if they are locked and hidden.
2) You can add buttons to other stacks and customize their properties (style, color, size, location, name) just like you can the buttons that you add to HSP.
3) Following the instructions for adding a special script to an existing button in another stack, you can customize the properties of that existing button, just like you can the buttons that you add to HSP.
4) The Message Box is now enabled for mostly all HyperTalk single commands (in Apple's Player, the Message Box is limited to carrying out the "Find" command). One use of this feature is to add or change the icon of a button in another stack to one of HyperCard's many built-in icons (see Instructions). The HSP Icon List stack, included with HSP, allows you to view and select these built-in icons.
